Building Heathrow Feb 08, 2010

It’s a good thing we’ve been documenting the progress on the construction of the new Air Terminal Building, as future generations will consider this project a major piece of our city’s history. The same goes for any large construction project, as is the case here with London’s Heathrow airport. This video shows the construction of the world’s largest airport during the 1940s, something that seems rather surreal nowadays as Heathrow is so integrated into London’s infrastructural landscape.
