Your online guide and resource for the new Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport terminal.
It’s hard to believe that over a year has gone by since the “Miracle on the Hudson” took place in New York. But for those who have followed the story closely – particularly that of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger – a lot has happened since he safely landed his plane on the Hudson River, saving the lives of over 150 passengers and crew.
Sullenberger, 59, flew his final flight on Wednesday, taking early retirement after what I’m sure has been a whirlwind of activity for the veteran pilot. A book and TV documentary have already been released, and Sullenberger has said he is in the process of writing a book as well.
Apart from being a pilot, Sullenberger was also a flight safety instructor, and he plans to continue to speak about safety after his retirement, along with his writing of a new book.
